We're not "Illegal!"

We often refer to immigrants who violate the immigration laws of the destination country as "illegal immigrants." However, this terminology made any people view those immigrants as criminals of the country. It is one of the reasons undocumented immigrants are so afraid within the country they wish to live in and are constantly paranoid.

DACA Workshops

DACA Workshops

More than 560,000 undocumented immigrants have enrolled in Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The DACA program helps undocumented immigrants, who came to the U.S. as children, to receive a work permit, pursue free education, and free from deportation for two years.

DAPA

DAPA stands for Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents. It is a program that protects illegal immigrant parents whose children are documented in the United States.

The Dream Act

The Dream Act

More immigrants and as well as domestic residents help to break through the discrimination wall between undocumented and documented immigrants. The Dream Act enables many undocumented students to have a fair education and an opportunity to obtain U.S. citizenship.

Obama Prevents Deportation

On November 20th 2014, President Obama on Thursday announced to prevent the deportation of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. This announcement benefits the parents of the US Citizens, permanent citizens who have lived in the country for five years, workers who have trouble obtaining a visa, and young immigrants. * An undocumented immigrant who protests on the inaction of the immigration reform by Obama Administration before Obama's announcement.

In the summer of 2013, hundreds of coalition members gathered in front of the House of Representatives. Even though the Senate passed a bill that would increase U.S border security, create a legal immigration process, and provide a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented workers, many Republicans want stricter border enforcement above all else.

March for Immigration Reform

On May 1, 2013, hundreds of protestors participated in a two-mile march in Chicago. The majority of the protestors advocated for the legalization of undocumented immigrants to be able to contain citizenship. The protest was positively supported by the House GOP leaders.

On February 22, 2013, Antonin Aguirre, who was criticized by Republican lawmakers during a Senate hearing for testifying in Spanish to state-based immigration proposals, participated in the rally to renovate the U.S. immigration system and for undocumented immigrants to obtain citizenship. *A girl carrying a sign during the rally.

The ICE police finally collaborate with immigrant coalitions and prevent the arrests of the remaining undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
